Knowing

This painting presents an embrace between two figures. The female figure’s head rests against the male’s as he leans down slightly toward her, creating a gentle asymmetry that enhances the tenderness of the pose. Her arms are loosely draped around his shoulders, while his hands settle at her waist, grounding the composition in a relaxed but unmistakably loving physical connection.

The palette is warmly held, with tones that create an immediate sense of softness and emotional warmth. Light falls directly onto the figures from the viewer’s position, bringing clarity and presence to the embrace, while an additional glow behind them adds depth and atmosphere. This interplay of front light and background radiance gives the work a luminous quality, allowing the couple to feel quietly enveloped.
